Hyderabad: Air Chief Marshal Chief of Air Staff AP Singh on Saturday said ‘Operation Sindoor’, which was launched post terror attack in Pahalgam, showcased exceptional coordination, synergy, and integration within the armed forces.
“Operation Sindoor stands as a shining testament to the unparallelled prowess of the Indian Air Force (IAF), wherein we demonstrated our capability to deliver swift, precise, and decisive blows to the enemy,” he said.
The IAF Chief, who was reviewing officer (RO) during the Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) of 215 course at Air Force Academy here, said the IAF has been and will always remain the first responder.
Stating that the battlefield is going to be more and more complex, the RO said the young officers must continuously “train and retrain” to succeed in future conflicts.
“With the IAF fast evolving into an aerospace force, many of you will lead the nation’s foray into space. All these challenges will require you to be totally committed, focussed, innovative, and passionate about your job,” he told the young officers.
As for future, IAF Chief said two things are certain, fast evolving character of warfare, and the increased relevance of the aerospace power.
Mentioning that no branch operates in isolation, whether in sky or on ground, Singh said each officer has a wider role to play. He instructed them to keep furthering the spirit of jointness in the armed forces as they grow in service.

Further, the Air Chief Marshal told the young officers that they chose a career that is not only challenging, but also most rewarding and honourable.
Informing the graduating officers that they are the architects of the IAF destiny, he said this huge responsibility should not weigh them down but become a motivating factor in their lives.
“l urge each one of you in blues to uphold the ethos, honour, and traditions of IAF. Wear your uniform with pride and purpose, lead from the front and always remember the core values of IAF mission, integrity, and excellence, and these will be your guiding beacons as you navigate through your career,” he said.
Stating that CGP ceremony marks the culmination of years of perseverance and structured training as a cadet, the Air Chief Marshal said it is only the beginning of their learning journey, and urged them to continue to expand their horizons and discover new capabilities.
Extending gratitude to parents, the IAF Chief said their rock solid support enabled their children to achieve dreams.
“Your sacrifice and trust has been and will always remain instrumental in each of their success. The nation and IAF will remain forever indebted to you,” he said.
Recalling his Commission into IAF 40 years ago, Singh said nothing much changed. “It was a very similar setting, if I can remember. Yes, it was a different venue.
Tarmac in front of the flying faculty those days and we were in khaki,” he reminisced.
