Hyderabad: The students of Pallavi Aware International School conducted a campaign to do their part in helping spread the word of the devastating state of soils across the world on December 13.

The students informed the audience of the various types of soils that exist and went on to present a PowerPoint presentation on where these soils can be found and the benefits each of these soils provide.

A video was then broadcast illuminating the gathered on the sad state of these soils and the major causes of soil degradation. The students went on to talk about the adverse effect soil degradation has on the ecosystem and its effect on the plants, trees as well as microbes present in these soils. The students then informed the audience about the various ways in which soils can be conserved and protected.

They went on to implore the audience to protect the soil, singing about the beauty of Mother Earth. Dance was then performed by the students, pledging an oath to protect and preserve the soils of the Earth.
