Pallavi International School pays fitting tribute to medical fraternity
The special assembly organised to mark National Doctors' Day highlighted the importance of the doctors and their services, especially during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic

Hyderabad: Pallavi International School, Gandipet organised a special assembly virtually on July 1, to express their gratitude towards doctors for their dedication and selfless services on the occasion of Doctor’s Day. Students of grades VI to IX participated in the assembly which was hosted by Spoorthi of class VIII and Yukthi Singh of class VI.
The assembly started with a National Note followed by the School Song. The hosts highlighted the importance of the doctors and their services, especially during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic. Principal Meethali Archit addressed the gathering and thanked all the doctors. She notified the hardships that the doctors are going through and offered tribute to all the doctors who lost their lives while serving humanity in fighting this pandemic.
Parents were invited to the event as guests of honour. Dr Parimala Srikonda shared her inputs on how students can become doctors. She also stated that it isn’t an easy journey to juggle between being a mother and a doctor at the same time. Dr Rahul Kumar Kondaparthi thanked the school for organising this event, which will create awareness in students. Dr Sowbhagya Laxmi shared with students her journey of becoming a doctor. She stated the important qualities one should possess to become a successful doctor and encouraged students to take up the profession. Another parent Dr Aarthi stated that all professions are noble in their own ways and also encouraged students to become doctors.
Kruthika, Shrestananda and Tejitha highlighted the significance of the day, eminent doctors of India and first women doctor of India respectively. We also had a quick quiz for students. They watched a video highlighting the contributions of the medical fraternity to society and paid their respects by saluting and clapping for them. The program concluded with the National Anthem.
