Pallavi International School celebrated Indian Air Force Day virtually with their students. The Indian Air Force Day is celebrated across the country to mark the birth anniversary of India’s air wing of the three armed forces, the Indian Air Force (IAF).
Today, the whole nation is celebrating the 88th anniversary of the Indian Air Force, as the Bharatiya Vayu Sena was established on October 8, 1932. Since its beginning, the IAF has expanded itself with numerous accomplishments including four battles with Pakistan and China, its role in World War II and the execution of the United Nation’s peacekeeping mission.
A virtual special assembly was conducted by the coordinators of Pallavi International School. The importance and history of the Air Force was presented. The children were motivated to serve the country as a future fighter after listening to a motivational speech by MA Khader, a retired Airforce Master Warrant officer, who is also the father of school coordinator Naseem Sultana. His presence and aura had touched students.
An Ode of respect was given to women power: Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh, the first woman fighter pilot, to join the Rafale fleet of the Indian Air Force. Indian special aircraft were shown and children were told of the rigorous training session involved to become an Air force Marshall. A scintillating air display by various aircraft, the Air Force Day Parade was also presented. The assembly ended with National Anthem.
