Pallavi Model School: Book review competition calls for adventure

Hyderabad: Pallavi Model School Bowenpally organised an inter-school book review competition on September 9. This edition was the thirteenth year consecutively and was hosted on the Zoom platform. The theme was ‘Call to Adventure.’ Book reviews foster the pursuit of knowledge, creativity, ideas, stimulating the culture of reading, learning, writing and values amongst the student community. The event aimed to reiterate this, the school said.
Twenty prestigious schools from the twin cities participated in the event.
Two participants from classes VI and VII represented each school. Children geared up their reading skills and enthusiastically presented interesting reviews on books of famous authors like J K Rowling, Daniel Defoe, Rick Riordan, Jules Verne, et al. The sensitivity with which each of the reviews was portrayed was commendable.
Each review provided entertainment and food for thought. In the keenly fought competition, it was Pallavi Model School Bowenpally that lifted the Rolling Trophy. The Reviews were judged by Sudha Krishnan and Bhumi Gia.
