Hyderabad: Music is the art of arranging sounds in time through the elements of melody, harmony, and rhythm. To reiterate this an Inter House Solo Singing Competition for grade V, VI and VII was conducted on October 23.
Students were judged on shruthi, laya, expressions, vocal quality and selection of songs which should be semi-classical either in Hindi or Telugu. The programme was judged by Naga Lakshmi and GV Manju.
The first prize was awarded to Krrish of VI-D, Cauvery House, the second went to Sohan Goud of VI-A, Krishna House, and the third prize was given to B Deekshita, VI-C, Krishna House.
The first consolation prize went to Pranathi of VI-H, Ganga House, the second consolation prize was awarded to Anwitha, VII-C, Godavari House, and Akshara VII- D, Ganga House, and the third consolation was given to Devisree Atmakuri of V-A, Ganga House and Aarushi Tiwari from Krishna House.
