Philanthropist Subhash Reddy to provide furniture to all gram panchayats in Kamareddy
Philanthropist Timmayagari Subhash Reddy has announced a plan to provide office furniture worth up to Rs. 2.2 lakh to each gram panchayat in Kamareddy Assembly constituency. Around 100–125 panchayats are expected to benefit in the coming months.
Kamareddy: Philanthropist Timmayagari Subhash Reddy has announced assistance to all gram panchayats in Kamareddy Assembly constituency by providing furniture worth up to Rs. 2.2 lakh to each panchayat.
Subhash Reddy, who had earlier funded the construction of a government school building at Bibipet at a cost of Rs. 6 crore about four years ago, met newly elected sarpanches in Kamareddy recently. Following a request from the sarpanches for furniture for their offices, he agreed and decided to cover around 100 to 125 gram panchayats over the next couple of months.
The furniture package includes a conference table, tables for the sarpanch and secretary, chairs for office bearers, ward members, MPTC representatives and visitors. The sarpanches thanked him for the gesture.
