BRS MLC K Kavitha criticised the Congress government for its inability to stop the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme proposed by the Andhra Pradesh government on the Krishna River. She took strong objection to the State government appointing Aditya Nath Das, former chief secretary and former irrigation special chief secretary of Andhra Pradesh, as advisor to the irrigation department. Das as Irrigation secretary played an important role in starting the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme and the Congress government appointing him as advisor was not in a good taste, she said.
