Providing quality medical service is objective of TS govt: Indrakaran
Forest Minister A Indrakaran Reddy said that as many as 57 medical investigations relating to various chronic and acute diseases will be conduct for free.
Adilabad: Forest Minister A Indrakaran Reddy said that the objective of the government is to provide quality medical services to the people. He formally inaugurated Telangana Diagnostic Centre (TDC) on the premises of the district headquarters hospital in Nirmal on Wednesday. The Centre was created at an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore.
Speaking on the ocassion, Indrakaran Reddy stated that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao embarked on creation of the hubs with an aim to offer quality medical services. Accordingly, he allocated Rs 10,000 crore in the budget of the State for the health sector. He opined that the services available at corporate hospitals could now be found at government-run hospitals.
The minister said that as many as 57 medical investigations relating to various chronic and acute diseases will be conduct for free. The medical investigations include blood and urine analysis; tests to determine diabetes and hypertension, diseases of liver, kidney, thyroid, lungs, and even cancer, for free of cost. The results of the tests will be sent to mobile phones of the patients, he explained.

Indrakaran Reddy later convened a review meeting with officials concerned over medical services in Nirmal. Zilla Parishad chairperson K Vijayalaxmi, Nirmal municipal chairperson Gandrath Eshwar, Collector Musharraf Ali Farooqui, District Medical and Health Officer Dr Dhanaraj, medical superintendent Dr Devender Reddy and many others were present.
He inaugurated a similar facility created on the premises of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)-Adilabad. He was joined by Adilabad MLA Jogu Ramanna. Zilla Parishad Chairperson Rathod Janardhan, Adilabad municipal chairperson Jogu Premender, Collector Sikta Patnaik, RIMS director Dr Balaram, DMHO Dr Narender attended the event.
In the meantime, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Kova Laxmi inaugurated Telangana Diagnostic Centre in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district headquarters. She was accompanied by Asifabad MLA Athram Sakku and Sirpur (T) MLA Koneru Konappa. She said that tribals could now avail better quality diagnostic services at their door step. DMHO Dr K Balu and Dr Satyanarayana, in-charge of the center were present.
