Hyderabad: His jokes as a well-known performer on the ever-popular comedy show ‘Jabardasth’ on ETV have tickled the funny bones of audiences in thousands of Telugu households. After entertaining viewers with multiple shows on the small screen, Racha Ravi made his way to the big screen and managed to create a space for himself.
The actor now seems to be happy with his latest movie ‘Maestro’ and in a brief chat with ‘Hyderabad Today’, he shared his experience working for the movie and also some funny titbits from the sets.
The talented actor has already proven himself with different roles and has been getting good response from the audience. Ravi played the role of an auto driver, who is greedy for money and loses his life because of greed.
Talking about his choices, Ravi says, “I always preferred to pick up challenging roles as they help in proving ourselves, besides helping me become a good actor. I have done more than 80 films and can shift to any slang as per the demands of the character.”
Sharing his experience of working on the film, Ravi says, “’Maestro’ will always be a good experience for me — the whole unit was sweet and kind, and took all the precautions while shooting. The experience was different because it was the first film which I acted in after the lockdown.”
Elaborating further, he adds, “It was fun working with Mangli; I treated her like my own sister and helped her learn to drive an auto on the sets. Other actors were also kind to me. The best part was when ‘Sathamanam Bhavati’ director Satish Vegesna called and appreciated me.”
Ravi, who is busy working for four films, is also planning to work on web series. On the work front, the actor would be seen in ‘Highway’, directed by KV Guhan, which is a psychological crime thriller; ‘F3: Fun and Frustration’, an upcoming Telugu-language comedy film written and directed by Anil Ravipudi, which is a sequel to the 2019 film ‘F2: Fun and Frustration’; ‘Konda Polam’, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, and ‘Rowdy Boys’.
