The trailer of actor Kartikeya’s ‘Raja Vikramarka’ hints at the actor donning the role of an unintelligent police officer. And the icing on the cake is when he falls for the Minister’s daughter. Packed nicely with elements of action and adventure, the movie also has comic sequences to tickle the funny bones.
“Sri Saripalli happened to work with a few Hollywood directors earlier. So he wanted to make ‘Raja Vikramarka’ keeping Telugu audiences’ sensibilities in view. The Hindi rights of the film sold for Rs 3.25 crore. And the teaser and trailer has been getting response from Tamil audiences as well,” said producer duo Aadhireddy and 88 Ramareddy.
Shot in various locations like Gandikota and in rubber forest for pre-climax sequences, ‘Raja Vikramarka’ is the debut film for the producers. Having worked as film distributor for various movies like ‘Badshah’, Gabbar Singh’, ‘Gambler’, Srikanth starrer ‘Ranga The Donga’ and various other movies, Aadhireddy joined hands with Ramareddy to bankroll ‘Raja Vikramarka’.
Kartikeya is looking to revive his fortunes at the box office following an unpleasant response from his last outing ‘Chavu Kaburu Challaga’.
Directed by Sri Saripalli, the movie ‘Raja Vikramarka’ features Tanikella Bharani, Harshavardhan, Sai Kumar, Pasupathy, Sudhakar Komakula while Tanya Ravichandran is the leading lady. ‘Raja Vikramarka’ will hit screens on November 12.
