Hyderabad: A record 31 malpractice cases were booked during intermediate public advanced supplementary examinations held on Tuesday.
The Chemistry-I and Commerce-I exams reported 21 malpractice cases with 14 in Yadadri, five and two in Hyderabad. Similarly, 10 malpractice cases – eight in Sangareddy, and one each in Karimnagar and Jangaon – were booked during the Chemistry -II and Commerce-II exams.
A total of 14,779 out of 1,58,320 registered candidates skipped the Chemistry-I and Commerce-I exams. As for Chemistry -II and Commerce-II papers, 47,972 candidates registered, 42,686 appeared and 5,286 were absent. With these subjects, major intermediate advanced supplementary exams concluded.
Examinations were conducted smoothly and peacefully, without any untoward incidents, the TG BIE said.
