Report submitted to CMO over protests of farmers against ethanol factory

Nirmal: While, as many as 23 farmers were booked on Wednesday for allegedly causing inconvenience to the public by staging a sit-in on the national highway and vandalizing vehicle of Nirmal RDO Rathna Kalyani against establishment of an ethanol factory on the national highway 61 in Dilawarpur mandal headquarters, Collector Abhillasha Abhinav submitted a report about the same to the CMO.
The Collector Abhillasha said that a report on protests of farmers against establishment of an ethanol factory in Dilawarpur mandal centre, was sent to the office of the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
In a statement, Abhilasha said that a report relating to rasta-roko, cooking of food and bonfires staged by villagers opposing the ethanol factory and their apprehensions was submitted to the office of CM. She urged the farmers to show restraint.
