Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday blamed district incharge Ministers for the unrest among party leaders and the widening rift between MLAs and MPs in several constituencies.
During the TPCC Political Affairs Committee meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan, the Chief Minister made it clear that it was the duty of incharge Ministers to ensure the Congress party’s success in the upcoming local body elections.
He emphasised the need for better coordination among leaders and underlined the importance of taking the government’s welfare and development programmes to the people.
Revanth Reddy also expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in filling up nominated posts, especially temple committee positions. He instructed that eligible leaders be appointed to these posts at the earliest.
The Chief Minister is also learnt to have taken a serious view of a protest staged recently by members of the Golla, Kuruma and Yadava communities, who drove sheep into the premises of Gandhi Bhavan to highlight their demands.
“There is a limit to staging protests. Any sort of indiscipline will not be tolerated,” Revanth Reddy reportedly told party leaders during the meeting.
