Nizamabad: TPCC working president and MP A Revanth Reddy on Saturday launched a scathing attack on BJP leaders. The Congress MP alleged that BJP leaders deceived Turmeric farmers with false promises. He was speaking at a Rythu Deeksha organised by the Congress in Armoor town.
Speaking on the occasion, the MP termed BJP as ‘Bharatiya Jhuta Party’. Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy, former Ministers P Sudershan Reddy, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, former MP Madhu Yaski Goud, former Whip E Anil, MLA Seethakka and others participated in the meeting.
“BJP promised to set up Turmeric Board in Nizamabad district. However, after winning the constituency in Lok Sabha elections, it forgot its promise. The party deceived the people of the district. TRS and BJP colluded with each other and are deceiving farmers,” he said. He said that Congress would launch a fight against the State and Central governments in regard with setting up Turmeric Board. Nizamabad DCC president Manala Mohan Reddy, farmers and others participated in the meeting.
