Rs 270.55 crore worth loans distributed to beneficiaries in Medak
Medak Collector S Harish and SBI General Manager Yogesh Chandra Sahu are handing over the cheque to SHG women in Medak on Tuesday.

Medak: Collector Medak S Harish has distributed Rs 270.55 crore loans to beneficiaries under various government programmes including Rs 108.71 crore to Self Help Group (SHG) women.

Addressing the people during a loan mela organised in Medak on Tuesday, the Collector has called people to avail the loans to grow in life. He has also urged them to pay the loans installments in time to help the bank grow and also provide loans to others.

State Bank of India General Manager Yogesh Chandra Sahu has said that the Union Government has also been insisting the banks to lend more loans to people so that they will recover from COVID-19 impact. As part of their efforts, Sahu said that they have organising credit outreach programmes across Telangana for the benefit of people.

As many as nine government and eight private banks have set up stalls in the credit outreach programme organised in Medak on Tuesday. Additional Collector Prathima Singh, SBI Regional Manager Pankaj Kumar, APGVB AGM Balaji Rao, NABARD AGM Cesil Timothy, Lead Bank District Manager Venugopal Rao and others were present.
