Sakthi Aviation and Defence Systems Private Limited has signed a MoU with OMNIPOL Group to bring the Czech-made L410 NG 19-seater aircraft to India. The agreement, formalised at Wings India 2026, includes plans to explore a final assembly line in India, enabling Transfer of Technology and strengthening the domestic aviation ecosystem.
Hyderabad:Sakthi Aviation and Defence Systems Private Limited and OMNIPOL Group here on Thursday signed a MoU to bring the world-renowned L410 NG 19-seater aircraft to India.
The modern, next-generation 19-seater turboprop from the Czech manufacturer Aircraft Industries is expected to strengthen India’s regional connectivity ambitions.
As per the agreement signed at the ongoing Wings India 2026, OMNIPOL Group and Sakthi are assessing the modalities to set up a final assembly line in India, thereby enabling Transfer of Technology (ToT) and boosting the local aviation ecosystem.
The L 410 NG’s ability to operate from short and unprepared runways makes it ideally suited for connecting remote areas and unlocking new routes across the country.
“Our partnership with OMNIPOL Group will not only offer carriers a compelling solution to expand regional air connectivity but will also catalyse domestic industry through Transfer of Technology and expanded workshare opportunities,” said Dr. M Manickam, Chairman of SADSPL.
OMNIPOL Group Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO Artem Movsesyan said the company believes that the L 410 NG is well suited to revolutionise regional air travel in India given the aircraft’s versatility and capability for operating in diverse conditions.
