Sangareddy: Pick-pockets steal smartphone, withdraw Rs 1.30 lakh from bank account

Sangareddy: Some unidentified miscreants who stole a person’s smartphone withdrew Rs 1.30 lakh from his three different bank accounts by using the QR codes of Digital payment platforms.
The victim, Prasad, a resident of Talelma in Andole Mandal, said some persons stole his phone while he was getting into an RTC bus at Jogipet bus station three days ago.
Prasad filed a case in Jogipet on Monday about the theft. When he checked his bank accounts on Wednesday, Prasad found that the thieves had withdrawn Rs 1.30 from his three bank accounts. He again approached the Jogipet Police on Wednesday.The Police, who registered a case, launched a hunt to nab the culprits.
