Santoshi Naropanth talks about facing challenges head on
Accepting the challenges that life threw at her and moving ahead with confidence is what Santoshi Naropanth has been doing exceptionally well

Life was smooth for Santoshi Naropanth till she was struck by a sudden tragic phase. Like every youngster, this popular YouTuber, who goes by the name ‘Yours Truly San’ on the video-sharing platform, dreamed about a career and worked hard to achieve her dream of becoming a software engineer and get into an IT company — and she achieved both!
However, she didn’t expect life to take a different turn. Santoshi was just 25 when she was afflicted with Chikungunya. While the fever subsided in a week, joint pains even after six months made her undergo a few tests which revealed muscular dystrophy — a rare kind of illness which doesn’t have a permanent cure.
Upon hearing the news, the shocked MCA graduate went into depression. “I never expected my life would turn out like this and it took me quite a lot of time to accept the fact. I deleted all my social media accounts and severed contacts with loved ones too,” shares Santoshi.
“I was a completely jolly and easy-going person and used to take part in all kinds of activities from my school days. I also used to play veena and took part in many competitions, which gave me more confidence in whatever work I do,” reveals Santoshi.
“I thought there are a lot many things that can be done by working from home. Pandemic taught us how to. It’s not just me — the entire world had to pause for a while, which gave me an idea of starting my own YouTube channel ‘Yours Truly San’,” says Santoshi who utilised the lockdown period to start the ’21 days challenge’. “It takes 21 days for a person to accept the changes and start learning something new and that’s what made me start the ’21 days challenge’. The concepts I focused on in the challenge would change any human life and make them live a happy and successful life,” concludes Santoshi, who has been inspiring people through her videos.
