Hyderabad: School Education director EV Narsimha Reddy here on Saturday urged teachers to strive for excellence in teaching, ensuring students success and respect from parents.

Participating in the mathematics seminar on the theme ‘Timeless Journey: From Vedic Maths to Quantum computing’ organised by SCERT on the eve of birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan, an Indian legendary Mathematician, Reddy emphasized the crucial role of teachers in shaping generations, highlighting the daily dedication and responsibility required both at school and home.

Drawing inspiration from prominent educationist Chukka Ramaiah, who mentored IITians, Reddy underscored the profound influence of teachers. He underscored the importance of logical reasoning in understanding mathematics.

SCERT director G Ramesh recalled his school days, in particular about the mathematics teacher he came across, and how his influence made him choose mathematics in PG. He emphasized intellectual skills that were needed for the maths teacher to make students learn mathematics with ease.

The event saw 31 presentations from the total of 66 selected papers received by the SCERT. All participants were presented certificates.
