Adilabad: The principal of a Telangana Model School in Bazarhathnoor mandal drew criticism on Thursday for reportedly serving a lavish lunch to District Educational Officer (DEO) Srinivas Reddy during his visit to the school.
Principal Prem Kumar came under sharp criticism for offering a non-vegetarian meal to the DEO while students were served only vegetarian dishes and allegedly poor-quality food.
Students also claimed that the DEO failed to enquire about the issues they were facing, including a complaint regarding a mid-day meal infested with worms.
They expressed disappointment that the district officer did not address their concerns, despite repeated complaints about the poor quality of food being served to the students under the mid-day meal scheme.
