School timings changed in Adilabad as winter peaks
The Adilabad district administration has revised school timings for primary and upper primary schools in view of severe cold conditions, with classes to begin later in the morning to ensure students’ safety.

Adilabad: Timings of primary, upper primary and high schools belonging to both government and private managements were changed following cold weather conditions in the district. An order to this effect was issued by Collector Rajarshi Shah on Thursday.
According to the order, the schools will remain functional from 9.40 am to 4.30 pm instead of 9 am to 4 pm due to the cold weather to ensure safety and wellbeing of students. All schools including private ones were instructed to follow the timings with immediate effect until further orders. Non-compliance of the instructions will be viewed seriously.
Minimum temperatures of the district are hovering between 6 and 7 degrees Celsius for the last few days. Arli (T) village in Bheempur mandal registered the minimum temperature of 7.7 degrees C on Thursday. It recorded a mercury level of 5.4 degrees C on December 11.
