Second batch of MEIL’s cryogenic tanks from Thailand reach Hyderabad
With this batch, MEIL has so far imported six tanks, and the remaining five are expected within next few days

Hyderabad: The second batch of three cryogenic tanks out of the 11 imported by Hyderabad-based MEIL landed in Air Force Station Begumpet.
An Indian Air Force IL 76 aircraft took off from Chandigarh air base to Bangkok in Thailand and airlifted the three cryogenic tanks and touchdown at Hyderabad around 2 pm on Friday.
The remaining five tanks will reach Hyderabad within a few days. The import of tanks will help increase the supply of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) to hospitals.
The first batch of three tanks were received at Begumpet Air Force Station on May 22. Each cryogenic tank could supply 1.40 crore litres of medical oxygen and 15.40 crore litres from all the 11 tanks, according to the company.
