Security beefed up across Hyderabad for Bakrid festival celebrations

The Commissioner has instructed the officers and staff to ensure that the Bakrid festival passess off in a peaceful atmosphere.

Hyderabad: In view of the upcoming Eid al-Adha aka Bakrid festival, security arrangements have been put in place across the  three Hyderabad Police Commissionerate limits. Several check posts have been established in key areas, and surveillance has been intensified in the city.

On Friday, Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand conducted surprise inspections at some checkposts, including at Goshala in Ziaguda, MJ Bridge checkpost, Hasan Nagar and Bandlaguda checkpost. During the inspection, he interacted with the police personnel on duty, inquiring about the on-ground situation.
