Seven of inter-state cattle lifting and selling gang arrested in Nirmal
Nirmal police arrested seven members of an inter-state gang accused of stealing cattle by using anaesthesia and selling them to Maharashtra slaughterhouses. Vehicles, cash, and mobile phones were seized. The gang’s kingpin admitted forming it to make quick money.

Nirmal: Police on Thursday arrested seven members of an inter-state gang for allegedly stealing cattle by administering anesthesia and transporting the animals to slaughterhouses. A jeep, a car, eight mobile phones and Rs.39,280 in cash were seized from them.
SP Dr Janaki Sharmila said the arrested were Syed Sohail from Nanded in Maharashtra, and Shaik Zameer, Shaik Murtaza, Mohammad Naseer, Syed Akram, Syed Shoiab, Syed Faizan, Shaik Umar and Khaleed from Bhainsa. They were allegedly lifting cattle from various parts of Telangana and selling them to slaughterhouses in Maharashtra.
During interrogation, Sohail admitted to forming the gang to make quick money. Khaleed confessed to supplying the anaesthesia used in the thefts, while Umar said he assisted the gang.
Sharmila said a gang involved in a similar offence in Bhainsa was arrested recently, and the accused in that case had been absconding since. Bhainsa ASP Avinash Kumar and Nirmal ASP Rajesh Meena commended Mudhole Inspector G Mallesh, SB Inspector Sammaiah, Bhainsa Rural Inspector Nylu and members of the special team for nabbing the accused.
