Sharing a vision to create happier India

Lahair Tenneti, the head girl of Delhi Public School, Nacharam was selected along with eight other girls from various States like Assam, Gujarat, Ladakh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana to interact with the Union Minister of Education, CBSE chairman and Joint Secretary. Each one presented their vision for India, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
They shared their vision to create a happier India, focused on gender equality and modern education.The Minister was delighted on seeing that girls were so confident and expressed faith in their ability to restore India’s status as Vishwaguru.
Lahari spoke about modernising education, bringing attention to the NEP 2020 and how it will help. She also suggested methods like blended learning, remote learning, animating and gamifying topics in the curriculum, so that there is a positive and fun learning process and outcome. The Minister, Chairman then launched comics on the occasion.
Lahiri spoke about believing in the power of knowledge and education, for it unifies diverse thoughts and acts as a medium through which we convey our ideas. She quoted a Sanskrit shloka, that encapsulates the same idea.“The wealth that can neither be stolen nor can be usurped by the State; that can’t be divided amongst siblings and isn’t a burden to carry.
The wealth that increases by giving, is that of education and is the epitome of all possessions.”Taking inspiration from visionary PM Narendra Modi, she spoke about achieving ‘Sarvottam Shiksha for an Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, highlighting aspects like education and how integrating it with technology can do wonders.
She firmly reiterated her support for NEP 2020, a brainchild of celebrated rocket scientist, Dr. Kasturirangan and termed it as our step towards revolutionising Indian education.For Lahari being selected at an all-India level to participate and interact with various dignitaries left an indelible mark and has boosted her confidence. She thanked school Principal Sunitha Rao for her support and confidence in her.
