Hyderabad: On the occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child, SHE POWER Foundation is organising a Women’s Safety Bike Rally on October 11 in Hyderabad, bringing together women bikers, cyclists, women police riders and motorcycle communities from across India and neighbouring countries.
Women riders are travelling to Hyderabad from Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi and other parts of India, while participants from areas around the Nepal and Bhutan borders are also joining the movement.
Prominent women motorcycling communities including Bike Rani, SheMoto and other biker associations are joining the rally, which will also see the participation of eight women police bikers from Telangana Police.
The presence of women police riders alongside civilian women bikers will symbolise this collective commitment, with women from different walks of life riding together for one common cause.
The rally is being supported by the Telangana Tourism Department and will be flagged off by Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao from Jal Vihar.
