Siddipet: 38 qunitals of PDS rice seized in Bejjanki

Siddipet: Bejjanki Police in Siddipet district seized 38 quintals of PDS rice while the rice is being transported illegally in  a trolley auto at Goggillapur on Tuesday morning.

According to Sub-inspector of Police, Bejjanki, Chandrashekar, the accused Damuka Narasimharaju (39), a resident of Mangapet in Peddapally district, bought the rice from villagers across Sulthanabad Mandal at cheap rate. The SI said that the accused was taking the rice with the intention of selling it at a higher rate.
