Siddipet police register 693 traffic violation cases in three hours
Following the directions of Commissioner, D Joel Davis, the SHOs conducted Nakabandi under their respective police station limits on Saturday evening

Siddipet: Siddipet police registered 693 cases against traffic violators within three hours from 5pm to 8pm on Saturday evening during a special drive taken up to check traffic violations across the district.
Following the directions of Commissioner of Police D Joel Davis, the Station House Officers conducted Nakabandi under their respective police station limits. During the check, they caught 320 vehicles against whom there were 1,241 challans pending. The police have collected 6.18 lakh from these vehicle owners.
Initiating stern action against the persons who were travelling in vehicles without wearing masks, the police have imposed Rs 1,000 on each of 168 persons. They have collected Rs 1.68 lakh from them.
Meanwhile, they have also imposed fine on 272 vehicle users on the charges of traffic violations using speed laser guns.
They have also filed drunk and drive cases against nine persons under different police stations.
Warning the traffic violators of strict action, the Commissioner called upon the vehicle owners to obey the traffic guidelines to help them make the district accident-free.
Biker pays Rs 22,500 in accumulated penalties
A biker, who had 15 challans pending against his bike, paid Rs 22,500 when he was caught in the special drive.
Mohammad Sirajuddin, a resident of Siddipet town, was caught by Siddipet Police. Sirajuddin owns a Passion Pro bike carrying the number plate of TS36A 0565. He paid the due penalties on the spot.
