Six more temple bulls die; toll rises to 26 in Rajanna-Sircilla
According to the vets, the deaths were occurring because both calves and aged bulls were being kept in the same enclosure.

Rajanna-Sircilla: Six more kodelu (bulls) at the Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple goshala died on Tuesday. With this, the total number of deaths has risen to 26.
District Veterinary Officer Ravinder Reddy, in a statement, said 14 more bulls were suffering from ill-health. Improved treatment was being provided, with veterinarians brought in from the erstwhile Karimnagar district.
According to the vets, the deaths were occurring because both calves and aged bulls were being kept in the same enclosure. Reddy advised devotees to donate kodelu that were more than one-and-a-half years old.
On the first day, eight kodelu died due to ill-health caused by unseasonal rains. Five more died the next day, followed by four on the third day. Three died on Monday, and five more on Tuesday.
