SLBC mishap: 60 members of SCCL rescue team sent to trace missing workers

The well-trained personnel are members of International Mines Rescue Body

SLBC mishap: 60 members of SCCL rescue team sent to trace missing workers

Mancherial: Nearly 60 members of a rescue team of Singareni Collieries Company Limited’s (SCCL) Srirampur, Mandamarri and Bellampalli areas were sent to participate in the rescue operation to trace eight missing personnel inside the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel in Nagarkurnool.

The rescue team comprising 483 trained personnel has earned national-level recognition for rescuing those trapped in calamities. The personnel were trained at special training centres. They are members of International Mines Rescue Body (IMRB), indicating their efficiency. They bagged many awards for their outstanding work.

Officials said that the personnel were headquartered in Godavarikhani. The team is headed by general manager K Srinivas Reddy, while superintendent is B Madhava Rao. Additional manager Bhaskar Reddy is the coach of the team. The team was roped in during several calamities across the country.
