Hyderabad: The BRS, which launched a signature campaign aimed at uniting citizens in support of the SCB merger, received immense support in Rasoolpura slums. The campaign entered its third day on Saturday.
BRS supporters said the drive aimed to mobilise public backing by collecting one lakh signatures from residents across various localities in Secunderabad Cantonment.
Party supporters went door-to-door in Anna Nagar, CBN Nagar and Indiramma Nagar in Rasoolpura within the Cantonment areas and collected signatures. Senior citizens, women and college students took part in the campaign in Rasoolpura.
“With the merging of civilian areas of the Cantonment into the GHMC, various issues like water, drainage, roads and electricity will be resolved and we are confident that a signature campaign by the BRS party would help for a bright future for the Cantonment residents,” said party workers.
