Sangareddy: Will Sangareddy police dare to take action against TPCC working president and former Sangareddy MLA T Jagga Reddy, who allegedly used abusive language against Inspector Shiva Kumar and a home guard, has become the most discussed issue on social media and offline in the Sangareddy constituency on Wednesday.
The episode triggered widespread debate across social media platforms and within the Sangareddy Assembly constituency after videos of Jagga Reddy threatening police officers with abusive language went viral. Jagga Reddy also allegedly attempted to barge into a polling station, pushing aside police personnel, including Sangareddy DSP Sathaiah Goud. The attempt could attract charges of obstructing officials from discharging their duties. He may also face action from the State Election Commission for disturbing peace at the polling station in the 34th ward of Sangareddy municipality.
Former Telangana Digital Media director Dileep Konatham said it was time for the police to prove that they would act equally against opposition and ruling party leaders if they indulged in such activities. In a post on social media, Dileep said the abusive language used by Jagga Reddy would destroy the morale of the police in Telangana.
“Will the police officers association condemn Jagga Reddy’s objectionable language against the police?” he questioned. “Let us all see what kind of action the Telangana DGP Sivadhar Reddy takes against Jagga Reddy,” he said.
