Sri Rama Navami celebrated on grand scale at Illandakunta Ramalayam in Karimnagar
After the Bhadrachalam shrine, Illandakunta Ramalayam is the most famous for the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Rama and goddess Seetha.
Karimnagar: Sri Rama Navami was celebrated on a grand scale in the historic Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy temple at Illandakunta on Sunday.
After the Bhadrachalam shrine, Illandakunta Ramalayam is the most famous for the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Rama and goddess Seetha.
Devotees from different parts of the district as well as adjacent districts thronged the temple in a big way to witness the celestial wedding.
Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, Collector Pamela Satpathy, and Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam presented silk clothes and Mutyala Talambralu to Lord Rama and Seetha.
Additional Collector Praful Desai, RDO Maheshwar, and others participated in the celebrations. Bramostavams, which started at the shrine on April 4, will continue up to April 16.
In the wake of Rama Navami celebrations, elaborate arrangements were made for the convenience of devotees. The Rice Millers Association arranged food and drinking water facilities.
On the other hand, police made tight security arrangements for the celebrations in a peaceful manner.
Vehicle parking was arranged in six places to avoid traffic jams and the movements of devotees were monitored through CCTV cameras.
On the other hand, Sri Rama Navami celebrations were also held in the famous Kondagattu Anjaneyaswamy temple, Odela Mallikarjuna Swamy temple, and other temples.
