Warangal: Stating that they would not spare anyone who violate the traffic rules including wearing of the helmet from November 1, Police Commissioner Dr Tarun Joshi has urged the people to adhere to the traffic rules while driving vehicles under Warangal police commissionerate limits.

In a press statement here on Thursday, Dr Joshi said, “The traffic rules will be enforced strictly in the Warangal Commissionerate from November 1. We will impose fines on motorists who do not abide by the traffic rules. Hence, I urge each and every citizen to follow the rules mandatory,”

“In order to prevent the road accidents under the tri-cities’ area and other parts of the Warangal police commissionerate limits. Motorists will not be allowed to drive the vehicles after consuming alcohol or while talking on the mobile phone. The motorcyclists must also wear the helmets with good quality. On the other hand, we will also impose heavy fines for those who drive the vehicles without registration or other valid documents. I also advise the road users not to park their vehicles on the roads, which are not designated as the parking areas. Speed and rash driving and driving in the wrong route will also attract huge fines,” he added. He also asked the people not to hide their number plates or not to drive vehicles without number plates.

“If minors are found driving vehicles, their parents would be liable for such acts,” he cautioned the parents who allow their wards to drive the bikes and scooters. Moreover, the CP has also appealed to the people take photos of motorists’ numbers on their cell phones, if they see violation of the traffic rules, and send the vehicle number and reasons to WhatsApp number 9491089113 or 73826 29254 or 9440795211 to facilitate the police to ensure issuance of traffic challans to the wrongdoers.

CP Joshi has also urged the people to do their bit to prevent road accidents as the main objective of the Warangal Commissionerate Police is to ensure that motorists reach their destinations safely.
