Student suffers burns: Survel residential school principal suspended
District Collector M Hanumantha Rao issued suspension orders following a report from the District Educational Officer, after an incident where an eighth-grade student, S. Samuel, suffered severe burns while helping kitchen staff prepare and serve Ragi Java on the school premises on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: P Venkatesham, principal of the Survel residential school in Yadadri Bhongir district was placed under suspension of Thursday.
District Collector M Hanumantha Rao issued the suspension orders based on a report of the District Educational Officer as an eight-grade student S Samuel sustained severe burns while assisting the kitchen staff in cooking and serving Ragi Java in the school premises on Wednesday.
The Collector’s orders required Venkatesham to make himself available in Survel till further orders. He was not to leave the district headquarters without prior permission.
