Hyderabad: To commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a great freedom fighter, eminent educationist, and the first Union Minister of Education, the students of grade III and IV of Delhi Public School, Nacharam, celebrated National Education Day on November 11 with great verve and enthusiasm.
The offline, as well as online students, participated in the activities with all enthusiasm. The students of class III used their skills and creativity in making DIY paper school backpacks as part of the ‘Back to School’ activity. The teachers guided the students in making the art and craft activity and the students made impressive paper backpacks.
The students of class IV created wonderful DIY paper graduation caps as part of the ‘Making a Graduation Cap’ art and craft activity under the guidance of their teachers. The students looked like little scholars after adorning the graduation caps.
The teachers explained to the students the significance of the day and the contributions made by Maulana Azad in bringing a change in the quality of education in India. They also shared how education plays a life-changing role in our lives.
This endeavour aimed at creating awareness among the students on the importance of literacy and education for the well-being of society. The students took a keen interest in the activities and in all, it was a great learning experience for them.
