Students of Kairos Global School debate population rise
Suggestions were given to students regarding how to conduct themselves in a debate and the questions they can expect.
Kairos Global School conducted a debate competition on “Advantages and disadvantages of the rising population in India” to mark World Population Day. Students from classes VI to X took part in the debate.
Before the main event on July 9, head girl reached out to students interested in taking part in the competition and explained to them the rules and regulations of the competition.
Suggestions were given to students regarding how to conduct themselves in a debate and the questions they can expect.
The final event was conducted on July 9 that saw students, teachers and parents in attendance. Students discussed various issues arising out of population explosion and how it causes stress on the limited resources.
Some viewed that more population means more economic activity, more development and diversity. The event was a huge success and students got an opportunity to express their views on the topic. Judges declared the winners and they were awarded accordingly by the school.
