Students remember Srinivasa Ramanujan
Day 1 celebration of Math Week began with a special assembly on Math and its importance to human life.

Math Week was celebrated in a grand scale by the Pallavi International School, Keesara branch, virtually from December 21 to 23. Mathematics is more of arts than science and the art lies in how skillfully an educator can teach a math concept to the students. The students of Pallavi International School have proved it by integrating their concepts with arts.
Day 1 celebration of Math Week began with a special assembly on Math and its importance to human life. Students of various grades participated in the assembly by coming up with special new word, thought amazing facts, and many more activities. Students also commemorated the scholars of ancient times such as Aryabhata, Bhaskara, Brahma Gupta, and Srinivasa Ramanujan who made their contributions to mathematics.
An online quiz was also conducted grade-wise to add up to the celebration.
The second day of Math Week began with birth anniversary of legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan Iyengar. He was born on December 22, 1887 and to honour this great mathematician for his immense contributions to mathematics, the Government of India in 2012 declared December 22 as the National Mathematics Day.
Students of Pallavi International School also honoured his birthday by presenting poems, skits, role-plays, songs and dance on mathematical concepts. The skits included the concepts such as BODMAS, mean median mode, types of triangles etc. Art integration was depicted throughout the Math Week celebration.
The third day of Math Week included activities based on geometrical shapes. The tangram puzzle was taught to students so they can use it for making various shapes.
The headmistress of Pallavi International School addressed the students by appreciating the efforts of the students and parents for encouraging them to participate and making the event a huge success. She advised the students that they should love the subject and the only way they can learn Mathematics is by practicing it.
