Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas on Monday urged eligible persons from Golla and Kurma communities to submit demand drafts to avail subsidised sheep under the sheep distribution scheme.

“We will expedite the process of distributing sheep once the beneficiaries submit their demand drafts to officials concerned in the districts,” he said, replying to questions from members in the State Assembly here.

He informed the House that the Centre had appreciated the scheme aimed at empowering families that were continuing in traditional occupations. The Centre also appreciated the mobile veterinary clinics that were introduced in the State, he said, adding that the Centre planned to launch similar facility across the country.
