Suryapet innovator bags four gold medals
All the four innovations - low cost portable paddy hand weeder, seed sowing tool, multi-purpose hand tool for small farmers and multipurpose utility vehicle, which have sent by him for the competition, got gold medals.

Suryapet: An innovator Gorre Ashok, a native of Anjalipuram of Huzurnagar mandal in Suryapet district, got four gold medals at International Innovation Online Show held for E-NNOVATE Award-2021. The award winning innovations would be displayed at an exhibition, which would be held at Poland from September 8 and 9.
All the four innovations – low cost portable paddy hand weeder, seed sowing tool, multi-purpose hand tool for small farmers and multipurpose utility vehicle, which have sent by him for the competition, got gold medals. Interestingly, Ashok was only the innovator, who got more than two gold medals in the competition, which has received over 2,000 entries from across the world.
Speaking to Telangana Today over phone, Ashok said that the organisers of E-NNOVATE Awarads-2021 had telephoned him on Saturday and informed that all his four entries have been selected for gold medal. They also said that agricultural tools invented by him would be helpful to the farmers in Poland and assured him to purchase them.
He said that constant bending by the women agricultural labour for sowing of seeds would cause stress and health problems. To solve the problem, he invented a tool for sowing cotton, red gram and green gram, he added.
Ashok said that he has achieved all the successes with the motivation given by District Science Officer Laxmipathi.
Ashok is currently working on several other projects to invent tools useful for the farmers in different cultivation works. He reminded that all his innovations have aimed at helping the farmers and reducing the hardship in cultivation. He exuded confidence that as a gold medal winner, he would get the chance to attend an international innovation and design thinking conference, which is held in Zakopane, Poland, every year.
District Science Officer Lakshmipathi said when Ashok was doing vocational intermediate in Government Junior College at Devarakonda, he frequently telephoned him for requesting him to provide opportunity to display his science exhibitions. Moved by Ashok’s persistence, Lakshmipathi asked higher officials regarding participation of non-school students to in science exhibitions.
“There is a provision for the students aged below 17 years and out of schools to participate in the exhibition. Based on the rule, we have provided opportunity to Ashok in District level science exhibition in 2017. His product was selected for National children science congress, which was held at New Delhi where his talent was recognised by several organisations,” he added.
