Hyderabad: A suspected cyberattack disrupted the YouTube broadcasts of popular Telugu channel ‘T News’, with the channel’s management alleging that unidentified hackers targeted the platform to block its content from reaching viewers on Saturday.
According to information available, the cyberattack caused a significant interruption in the channel’s YouTube services.
The management accused cybercriminals of conspiring against the media platform and said that efforts were underway to counter the attack and restore normal operations at the earliest.
A complaint was registered with the Hyderabad Cybercrime Police seeking action against those involved, apart from the immediate restoration of the hacked YouTube channel. The management also urged DGP CV Anand to order a detailed investigation so that the hackers could be identified, nabbed and punished at the earliest.
