A Curriculum That Keeps Pace
SIT Hyderabad offers B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, CSE with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The curriculum is aligned with NEP 2020, built on Outcome-Based Education principles, and designed to balance engineering fundamentals with emerging technologies. Students can pursue Honours programmes in Data Science, High Performance Computing, IoT and Robotics, and Game Design and Development. A 20-credit Special Diploma in Business Management, offered in collaboration with Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Hyderabad, gives engineering students grounding in finance, operations, and organisational behaviour. FLEXI Credit Courses allow exploration across disciplines, from Cybersecurity to Digital Humanities, building profiles suited for research, industry, and beyond.
Where Industry Walks In
SIT Hyderabad has signed MOUs with Microsoft AI Innovators Hub,SmartBridge, and the Cyber Security Centre of Excellence, Government of Telangana. Industry Connect activities span co-teaching, industry-defined projects, consultancy assignments, and industry-sponsored laboratories. Agentic AI workshops delivered by Salesforce, Microsoft, and Google India, alongside regular hackathons and the 12-Hour IEEE Hackathon Series, ensure students are trained on tools and workflows used in actual industry environments. The institute’s Microsoft AI Innovators Hub and Hyderabad Data and AI Chapter provide students with access to Generative AI projects, Data Engineering mentors, and innovation summits. The curriculum is continuously reviewed in consultation with technology leaders, keeping pace with what the job market actually demands.
Two Degrees, One Journey
SIT Hyderabad’s most distinctive academic offering is its four-year Dual Degree Programme in partnership with Deakin University, Australia. Students spend their first two years at SIT Hyderabad and their third and fourth years at Deakin, earning a B.Tech from Symbiosis alongside either a Bachelor of Data Science (Honours) or a Bachelor of Cyber Security (Honours) from Deakin. Graduates also gain eligibility for a two-year post-study work visa in Australia, subject to government policy, opening tangible pathways to international careers.
Beyond the dual degree, Global Immersion Programmes including summer schools, winter schools, global academic internships, and semester abroad options extend the international experience further. Language training in French, German, and Spanish prepares students for multicultural professional environments. Student and faculty global engagement is already evident across the institute’s first cohort, students have represented SIT Hyderabad at IEEE COMSOC in Taiwan, the IES Student Young Professional Congress in Tunisia, the International Microwave Symposium in the USA, and IEEE TENCON in Malaysia. The IEEE SIT Hyderabad Student Branch won the People’s Choice Award at the IES SYP 2025 Congress, and a student team won IoT Development Kits worth USD 3,000 at the IEEE Communications Society Pre-University Competition held alongside GLOBECOM 2025 in Taiwan.

The Entrepreneurship Cell, Institution’s Innovation Council, and Incubation Centre form a pipeline from ideation to startup launch. Under IIC 7.0, SIT Hyderabad implemented 37 innovation and entrepreneurship activities, including visits to T-Hub, sessions on startup thinking, and the internal Smart India Hackathon round. The Under 25 Entrepreneurship Summit drew 1,100 student participants, and Le Startups Confluence brought together 200 innovators and industry mentors for pre-incubation discussions and founder networking. The research ecosystem spans AI, Quantum Computing, IoT, Cybersecurity, Edge Computing, and Sustainable Technologies, supported by IEEE-funded grants, doctoral programmes, and active student publication at international conferences.
A Campus That Shapes Holistic Growth
The SIT Hyderabad campus is designed to support both learning and living. Academic infrastructure includes smart board-equipped classrooms, air-conditioned computer laboratories, advanced research facilities in High Performance Computing and AI, a 1,200-seat auditorium, and a 200-seat seminar hall. On-campus hostels with six blocks, high-speed Wi-Fi, 24-hour security, and a dietician-supervised mess ensure students are well-supported beyond the classroom. A fitness centre, the Symbiosis Centre for Health Care with round-the-clock medical staff and an on-campus ambulance, and sports facilities for basketball, cricket, football, and volleyball complete a campus built for more than academics.
