As many as 730 doctors have succumbed to coronavirus infection during the second wave, according to data available by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in mid-June.
The chief minister said there are around 650 cases of the black fungus in Delhi government hospitals but there is a shortage of drugs used to treat the disease.
In a letter to Kejriwal, the Union minister alleged that the flag seen behind the chief minister during his press briefings appears to be in violation of the flag code
The drugs used in the treatment of the fungal infection will be arranged in enough quantity and awareness will be created among people for prevention against the disease, he said.
Although, the cases have come down and positivity rate has reduced from the high of 35 per cent on April 26 to around 23 per cent now, but strictness is needed, he said.
The registration process for the vaccination of people in the 18-44 age group under the third phase of the inoculation drive has begun in the national capital.
