The Telangana government has announced elaborate arrangements for the upcoming Bonalu festival in Hyderabad, scheduled from July 16 to August 13. The festivities will begin at Golconda Fort and conclude at Lal Darwaza and Haribowli temples.

Hyderabad came alive on Sunday with the commencement of Bonalu festivities in the city. Featuring the 'Thottelu', 'Phalaram bandi', and 'Bonam', commenced from Langar Houz and proceeded towards Golconda Fort.
A festive atmosphere prevailed in the older parts of the city as the annual Bonalu festival during the Ashada Masam was celebrated on Sunday. From the early morning hours, devotees started thronging the temples.
Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that a high-level meeting will be held at Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute of Telangana on June 25 at 11:30 am to discuss arrangements.
