The Centre of Research Excellence for National Security (CRENS) at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with T-Works, country’s largest prototyping center, to foster innovation and collaboration in national security.

Under the agreement, BITS Pilani and UB will jointly create graduate programs enabling students to complete part of their coursework and research at BITS Pilani and the rest at UB. The partnership also includes faculty exchanges, collaborative research, and provisions for intellectual property, confidentiality, and other legal terms to ensure transparency and fairness.

Supported by the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research, the event coincided with the diamond jubilee celebration of BITS Pilani, commemorating 60 years of academic excellence. Its goal was to promote collaboration between academic institutions and industry leaders, highlighting the vital importance of catalytic processes in environmental protection and sustainable energy generation.

While about 1,000 graduates attended the convocation in person, more than 6,800 graduates participated virtually with the help of the revolutionary Metaverse technology, nearly 111 of them graduated from 26 other countries as well.

In his new role, Dr. Reddy will be at the forefront of research and academic leadership in the department.
