The election for 17 Parliamentary constituencies was held on May 13, 2024. While both BJP and Congress won 8 seats each, MIM won 1 seat.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi maintained his hold over Hyderabad.

Nagesh won by 90,932 votes, which was substantially higher than what the party candidate, Soyam Bapu Rao secured in 2019 when he defeated Nagesh, who was the TRS candidate then, by 58,560 votes.

BJP has retained the constituency with Godam Nagesh.

Congress candidate Sri Ganesh won the seat with a majority of 13,206 votes against his nearest rival and BJP candidate Dr TN Vamsha Tilak.

The domestic currency finally closed at 83.59 (provisional) against the dollar, registering a fall of 45 paise from its previous close.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) alone was leading in 16 constituencies. Its allies Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jana Sena were ahead in three and two seats respectively.
