A cab driver was allegedly duped by a fake passenger in Medipally after being tricked into leaving his vehicle to buy a cigarette. The suspect drove away with the cab, prompting police to launch an investigation and examine CCTV footage.
A Pune-based traveller alleged he was overcharged by a cab driver at Hyderabad’s RGI Airport while heading to Gachibowli. Sharing his experience on Reddit, he said several users reported similar incidents and advised booking cabs only through authorised kiosks or seeking police help.
KT Rama Rao tweeted: "Request Director General of Police (DGP) Anjani Kumar garu to consider this at the earliest and institute such mechanism at all Railway and Bus stations across the State."
