TBGKS leaders staged a protest at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad, demanding that the management declare net profits and release a 35 percent profit share to workers. They alleged that only 16.9 percent of last year’s declared profits reached employees, with the rest diverted for company development.
Singareni CMD N Balaram has set a national record by planting 20,000 saplings across SCCL locations since 2019. Marking his birthday, he planted 225 more at the GK Opencast mine. SCCL aims to plant 40,000 additional saplings this year.
SCCL CMD N Balram said those who have worked for 190 days in underground mines and 240 days in surface mines and departments in a calendar year since joining the organization were being regularized.
Managing Director N Balram said there were certain SOPs (Safe Operating Procedures) prescribed for every job, and due to not following them properly, there were accidents in the mines.
