The Khammam police commissionerate reported a nine percent rise in overall crime in 2025, with 9,792 cases registered compared to 8,987 in 2024. Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt noted a 21 percent increase in crimes against women, though atrocities against SC/STs and murders declined.
